Horizon Forest Products Gives Back
Many people admire the natural character of hardwood’s grain and its integrity in high traffic areas…but even more admirable is the character and integrity of a business such as Horizon Forest Products . In October 2013, Horizon Forest Products donated 2,000 square feet of flooring ( a $5,000 value) to a Raleigh, NC non-profit called Christian Life Home, which is dedicated to providing care, counseling, and a safe environment to women in unplanned pregnancies.
Earlier in 2013, Horizon Forest Products had donated 500 square feet of engineered hardwood to the family of Princeton Bryan, a three year old with Neuroblastoma. Princeton’s chemotherapy treatments had greatly weakened his immune system, and the old carpet in the family’s home became a health risk. Horizon Forest Products was moved to donate the new hardwood flooring after hearing his story.
